The emotional ceremony featured a beautiful rendition of Eva Cassidy’s ‘Songbird’, which didn’t leave a dry eye in the room (including mine) and I was very lucky to capture such precious moments.

After the ceremony, the couple and their guests enjoyed champagne and canapes in front of a roaring log fire – the perfect setting for their drinks reception.

The evening celebrations included a somewhat raunchy display o the  burlesque routine which Charlotte and her friends (and her mum!) had learned on her hen night…..they made for some fabulous shots!

Charlotte and Alan’s Truly Stunning Wedding at Stubton Hall – Part 1

2

Category : Real Weddings

Slightly obssessed by weddings and photography, Wedding-Inspiration allows me the opportunity to be completely submerged in both. I’m fortunate that some fantastic photographers allow me to share their work and today I have the pleasure of sharing with you some more from the lovely Lyndsey Goddard Photography.

I must admit, I’ve had these photos in my inbox for a while – so why has it taken so long for me to share them? Well, that one is simple. Lyndsey sent around 300 images and whilst I wouldn’t describe myself as indecisive, I found it pretty darn difficult to whittle the collection down.

Charlotte and Alan’s photos are truly stunning, Lyndsey has done a magnificent job in capturing all the small details and intimate moments of this couple’s big day – and I want to share as many as possible with you! Below Lyndsey tells us about Charlotte and Alan’s wedding day;

Charlotte and Alan married at ”one of the hundred best wedding venues in the world” (according to Brides magazine), on a dark and stormy day at the start of February. Their chosen venue, Stubton Hall, was breath-taking and was very fitting of it’s title!

Brides don’t come much better than Charlotte; such a happy, smily, adorable person – she was indeed a pleasure to photograph. She and Alan have been together for a long time, and their wedding was full of personal touches, a lot of which I tried to capture on the day.

Generally excited by this wedding – I have broken it into two parts – part 2 will be on show later today! Extremely emotional photos and burlesque dancing by the bride and her hens……it’s one not to be missed I assure you!

Catherine and Nick’s summer wedding, Marle Place gardens

Today I have the pleasure of sharing with you some work from the talented Martin Beddall. New to Wedding Inspiration, Martin got in touch through the wonderful world of twitter and I am sure you will be impressed by his work.

Over to Martin;

“Catherine and Nick’s wedding was in many ways a quintessential English summers wedding, on a warm day in late May. After a church ceremony in her parent’s village in Kent, Catherine had chosen Marle Place gardens (near Tunbridge Wells) as the reception venue. Privately owned it offers not only space for a large marquee but a large ,but intimate, grounds for guests to explore, as well as friendly hosts – so much better than many hotels can offer.

Being a former model, Catherine had impressed upon me at our first contact how important photography was to her. It is always nice to hear when a bride books you, that they have already searched lots of photographers in order to make their choice.

Catherine and Nick were a great couple to photograph, thoroughly relaxed and confident enough to let the photographer just get on with the job of documenting their day – they even arranged for great light on the day!

Laura and Darrens Big Day – by Wilson McSheffrey

Another lovely wedding from the fabulous Wilson McSheffrey photographers today – this time, the gorgeous Laura and her husband Darren share with us their special day. A stunning couple, I think it is clear that they were both very relaxed in front of the camera!

Below, Kate tells us a bit about the couple’s wedding;

“Andrew and Emmett had great fun shooting Laura and Darrens wedding photography on the east cost of Scotland, just outside Edinburgh. They were an absolutely lovely couple and worked with us really well to get some fantastic shots.

Laura and Darren chose to hold their ceremony last July at the Historical Crammond Kirk a beautiful Church situated right by the sea. The weather was a bit over cast but this was perfect for some moody coastal shots. Not only was Laura a beautiful bride but also a perfect model who was not afraid to strike a pose or two against the dramatic backdrop!

After the ceremony the wedding party moved on to Edinburgh’s’ Capital Hotel to start the celebrations, a modern contrast to the Kirk, here Andrew and Emmett used the contemporary surroundings to get some lovely portraits of Darren and Laura.

Andrew later commented on lovely it was to work with a couple who were relaxed, enjoying their day and having great fun!”

A big thanks to Wilson McSheffrey for sharing some more of their fabulous photography – and a huge congratulations to Andrew for sucessfully adding to his LSWPP by passing his Master Photographers Association Licentiate qualification!

I’ve been in business for 11 years now, I have always had an interest in photography and was going to go to art college when I left school but decided to work with animals instead and continue with my photography as a hobby.

I got really interested in wedding photography while planning my own wedding and started out on my own the year after I got married.

I love weddings – I seriously love the joy at a wedding, I love capturing moments that only happen that one day, I love the details of a wedding which is funny as I am not a girly girl but I love wedding fashion and everything related to a wedding.

nikki mcleod photography

Yes weddings are stressful but I must live for the stress!

My style on the whole is contemporary, fun n funky, making brides look and feel the best they possibly can. I love when they thank me with hugs for being their wedding photographer before they have even seen any images!”
