I love this (obviously!). Our wedding video preview and a little snippet of our marryoke right at the end – big thanks to MacDonald Studios in Glasgow – Robert, you are a real gem!
Well, we did it-we got married!
It’s hard to believe that it was so long ago (8th October). It rained for most of the day, making photos a bit of a challenge, although believe it or not, it didn’t dampen the day…see what I did there?!
The whole day seemed to go according to plan – at least I think so! Our little one was fantastic throughout the whole day and didnt seem bothered by the constant attention.
Fabulous day all round.
I know I still have a lot to share from the actual planning of our big day- but for now, a few unofficial photos to whet your appetite!
I’ve been super busy of late, super super busy. Being a full time working mum often leaves me with little spare time and it was this little time that I used to blog.
I got sucked into trying to keep up with the bigger blogs who update every day, trying to make sure I always had something to say about planning our wedding or the wedding industry as a whole. Then, well then I hit a stumbling block. I’m excited about our wedding – about becoming a MRS (oh jees!),enthusiastic about all the little DIY components we get to do ourselves, seeing all our guests in their fancy outfits and then the rest, but thinking about it every day….well I simply don’t have time for that, moreover I don’t have time to collate these thoughts and put them together in a meaningful way.
That said, on Saturday someone asked how long it was until the big day and I had to check the calendar to work it out. Turns out it is only 10 weeks. ONLY, 10 weeks, until I get married. Bloomin’ eck where has the time went – it seems like it wasn’t that long ago I was saying we had plenty of time – turns out I’ve said that for too long and so now it really is time to get the finger out – so be prepared, we have a lot to get through before the big day arrives!!
Well, as some of you know – a few weeks past, I finally caved and got a fringe. The fad lasted all of five minutes and now, well now I am in the process of growing it out.
With 4 months to the wedding and at the rate my hair grows, it is not looking likely that it will be gone in time. So I am now on the hunt for some short haired brides in which to seek inspiration. Below are a few of my favourites – do let me know if you come across any others – I need your help!
Last week I took the train down to London town with the lovely Caroline (Candysnaps) for the eagerly awaited RocknRoll Bride’s party. A long way to go for some cocktails (I live in Glasgow!) – but was I going to miss out?….hell no!
I’ve been blogging for roughly 10 months now and in that time have chatted to so many fabulous people through twitter but there is only so many conversations that can be had in 140 characters or less, hence why I jumped at the chance to meet some of them face to face!
I met up with Charlie (Fiftieswedding), Emily (Emily Jayne Styling), Gemma (Mission2Wed), Natasha (Natasha Jane Headwear), Abbie (Vintage Hen House) and Penny and Martin (Tino and Pip Photography) for some delightful dim sum and good ole’ get to know you chat before the party and arriving fashionably late, we stood in line, all eagerly awaiting our turn to walk into the wedding meet up of the year (well so far, after Thursday I’m sure we are all hoping for an even bigger meet up later in the year…..sure Kat can get it sorted!).
The night was fab, cocktails were flowing, cakes were yummy – and the photobooth…well Lisa Jane did a fab job! Below are a few of the images from the night itself;
