You may have seen the wonderful Gemma Williams on Wedding-Inspiration before, or come across her on other wedding blogs such as RocknRoll Bride and Whimsical Wonderland Weddings recently – and it’s no wonder this girl is getting so much coverage – her work is fab!
Below, Gemma tells us about a wedding she shot last year;
Chris and Michelle were married on 23rd October 2010. Michelle got ready at her mum’s house, with her bridesmaids. Michelle’s bridesmaids were dressed in purple, which was the colour theme for the day. The flowers were full of mixed autumnal colours which really complimented the dresses. Michelle arrived at Leominster Priory Church in a vintage car, and Chris arrived in a Bentley. Michelle’s sister and also Chris’s sister both did readings during the very emotional church ceremony.
Chris and Michelle then travelled to The Priory Hotel at Stretton Sugwas for their reception. The sun was shining, and it was a perfect setting for the group photographs outside. The room was decorated with the same mixed flowers and also with purple bows on the chairs. The beautiful cake was trimmed with purple ribbon. The table names were after famous film directors, which was a great idea. Another clever idea was to have empty bowls of water on the top table, which the bridesmaids put their bouquets into upon arrival, so decorating the top table all along with their lovely flowers.
In the evening, there was a live band after the first dance, and everyone hit the dance floor! It was a really special wedding day, with a lot of emotions, laughter and tears. Michelle and Chris are a fabulous couple who have been together for many years and have been there for each other through all the ups and downs of life, so I wish them a very happy marriage!
A big thanks to Gemma Williams Photography for sharing her work with Wedding-Inspiration once again!
