Having never been to a wedding show before, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. The place was MASSIVE, with over 300 wedding suppliers under the one roof. Some brides were running around like kids in sweet shops, others clearly on a mission and then some, like myself, with no idea where to go first!
I suppose our big problem, was that I didn’t really know why I was there (which sounds quite silly really I assume?!) – but I wasn’t sure what I wanted from the show. We still have a lot left to organise – but did I want to book my cars? Should I attempt to try on lots of dresses? Should I know which questions to ask the florist? Did I have a firm idea of what I was looking for in stationery?
In short, we walked around, taking leaflets from EVERYONE.
There were some fabulous cars, some lovely stationery, places to hire vintage crockery, wedding dresses galore, florists with some impressive displays and even some great cakes to taste (plus so so so much more). But, by not really knowing what I wanted, I wanted it all!
So, we left. Leaflets and business cards in hand – with some serious reading to do.
